People are amazing! People are interesting! People are kind and loving! But also…people can be freaking weird. Whether it’s a misunderstanding, a lack of education, or a lack of brain cells, human beings are odd creatures sometimes.
Here are 55 people that make us shake our heads and put our palms over our faces.
Seriously, though – what are people thinking sometimes? Big thanks to Reddit users for sharing these bizarre, hilarious, and sometimes concerning social media posts
1) At a loss for words
There is so much to question here, we don’t really know what to say. In fact, with this one, maybe it’s best just not to say anything at all. We’ll just leave this here for you to contemplate yourself.
2) That’s not how it works, but okay.
Oh, our president. Whether you love him or you hate him, he’s the leader of our country. But sometimes, you have to shake your head when you realize he seems to always confuse weather and climate as being the same thing.
On what planet would it be okay to pay someone with disabilities less than minimum wage? First off – it’s called minimum for a reason. Meaning, it can’t go lower – it’s the minimum. Second – so, it’s exploitation?
4) Turning to the internet for parenting help
This person should probably change their tune and stop dismissing their child’s depression as a phase. Taking his phone away, forcing him to not communicate with people, is probably not the best idea. Hopefully, they received some helpful responses.
5) Your racism is showing
Yikes. This Twitter verified person didn’t seem to think there was anything wrong with explaining that they were late to work at an NYPD conference for being totally racist. Absolutely unbelievable.
6) So extreme
If you want to eat a strictly plant-based diet, that’s just fine. But, come on – how other people eat shouldn’t effect you in any way whatsoever. These vegans took things to the extreme when calling uninvited family members ‘muderers.’
7) Someone needs more education on gun control
This ‘pro-gun’ supporter online thought they’d explain their take on why they need a semi-automatic rifle. Apparently, they have plans on using it to hijack planes across seas to get free healthcare? I don’t think they realize this is exactly why we don’t need access to them.
8) Another over-the-top vegan
She is a VEGAN, okay?! Apparently, the purchase of non-vegan cheese threw her so far off the edge that she felt the need to destroy his X Box. It looks like the lack of protein in her diet is making her lose it a little bit.
This Facebook user doesn’t seem to understand how diseases and vaccinations work. They don’t realize that the reason no one was getting measles was because of vaccinations. The measles is still around but unless you’re immune or vaccinated for it – you can most definitely get the measles.
10) Happiness ensues at Walmart
We’re so glad this woman let everyone at Walmart know that it’s okay to say ‘Merry Christmas’ again. When really, was it ever really ‘not okay’? You’d have to be pretty uptight by someone being happy and friendly during a certain holiday. ‘Happy Kwanzaa!’ for all we care!
11) Come on, people
This can’t be how politics works, people. Just because a favored or despised politician thinks something, doesn’t mean you should go for or against it. Think for yourself! Do your own research and form your own opinion. Then vote on people who align with your beliefs! That’s how it works!
12) So, you’d rather see that?
This woman was absolutely appalled by nature being…well…natural. Instead of explaining to her daughter that it’s just part of the elephant, she’d rather have the zoo staff relieve them?! What on earth alternative option is that?
13) Oh, Mom
Although this mom is obviously a bit on the gullible side, we have to admit, the scams that are circulating around the internet can be pretty believable sometimes. As for this water and vinegar trick for detecting negative energy? Not so sure.
14) Satan-worshipping bakery?
We aren’t sure what kind of decor this bakery was displaying but apparently it was offensive enough to complain about online for these Christians. But, hey – the food was good though. So, that’s a plus.
15) I mean, it would be cool to see
Jesus is the answer to everything for this person on the internet. But, of course, if you share your opinion online, you have to be ready to accept the opinions of others. So, someone came in and asked a very valid question.
16) Break out the calculator
Diane forgot to double check her math before tweeting. She didn’t seem to realize that not only was her math wrong, it was really, really wrong. $4,972,933 is missing a couple of zeros.
17) Really, though?
Thanks to the internet and losing a grip on reality, this person thinks that Queen Bey and Jay-Z are going to start eating children soon. You know, because of satanic rituals. And to think – people that think this way are walking among us at the grocery store.
18) Spy flowers
We’re not even sure what to say about this person’s incredible post. They literally called a sunflower a ‘spy flower’ and is asking if it’s legal to have one because there could possible be a camera inside. Wow, just wow.
19) Privilege seems misused here
According to one Facebook user, getting accepted to Yale Med School was only due to the fact that they were white. And although white privilege certainly exists, it’s clear that it was her hard work, dedication, and persistence that got them into Yale. But, the other girl just isn’t having it.
20) Sneak it in wherever you can
Your grocery store ads aren’t even safe from people sharing their personal opinions out in the open. Really, Mac’s? Can’t I just look for a deal in peace without being bombarded by political or religious weirdness?
21) Not the lasers!
We’re not sure what conspiracy theory this person believes in, but wow – it would take forever to check out of the grocery store! Anyone behind her in line would have to stick around just to see this weirdness play out.
22) That’s not what love is
It’s always incredible to see people stay in relationships where they are clearly miserable and unhappy. Why on earth would you want to be in a relationship that is full of distrust, possessiveness, and control issues? Yikes!
Last we checked, humans weren’t hunting their food with their teeth. In fact, for centuries we’ve been designing tools to kill or trap animals and fish. Can’t people just eat and live the way they want without being told it’s wrong or right? The end result is all the same.
24) Hopefully they went to the police
We’re really hoping that this person went marching to the police station with a bunch of gay magazines asking them to arrest her son. That would be truly hilarious to witness.
25) What an idiot
For the record, men can have weak, lousy handshakes too. But, regardless, we clearly haven’t been using swords on a daily basis for years, so it’s safe to say that it’s evolved. Find something else to be weird and sexist about.
26) Nope, nope, nope
As miraculous as immaculate conception sounds, this horrific case of abuse and rape is certainly not something to chock up as a ‘miracle.’ This person’s Facebook comment is so ridiculous it almost gives us a headache.
27) Let that sink in
According to this “very sure” person, a pig is the cross between a muskrat, bobcat, and a hyena. I wish they would have elaborated more on these hybridized animals. It’s truly fascinating stuff.
28) Caring for people is a crime
It’s a sad day in the world when being kind to one another and wanting them to live and survive is a crime. We won’t get too political here but something just doesn’t seem right with this headline, crime, or the laws behind it.
29) Woke up with a beak
Have you ever seen all those atheists walking around with those giant beaks? So scary! Oh, wait, no we haven’t because that’s absolutely ridiculous. Ever since Photoshop came around, the world has just never been the same.
30) Is this a cruel joke?
This person can’t be serious, right? There is so much confusion that comes to mind with this one. As a PETA member they thought the dog was in misery by being an incredible assistant? What the heck? So confused.
31) A free cat
This person couldn’t seem to grasp what in-house cat-sitting services were. They apparently thought that a business would drop a cat off at your house to hang out with for free. Let’s be honest, if that was a real thing, I’d be all over it.
32) Should someone call CPS?
Believing in God and having faith in something is amazing, but when it becomes homocidal? That’s where it starts to get concerning. We’re not sure what form it would come in, but we hope she never hears voices from the big man in the sky.
33) Seems a bit extreme
Okay, but what happens if your kids have already moved out of the house and live two states away and your husband works the long shift at the warehouse today? Seems like you’d still be screwed. Thanks for the judgment though!
34) That’s a huge horse
This girl is absolutely certain that she has a horse that’s 15,000 pounds. For reference, an elephant weighs about 13,000 pounds. And a rhino? 5,000 pounds. But, hey! She has the official papers so it must be true.
35) Someone slap this guy
This pathetic and single guy thought he’d put some poor girl through a “girlfriending test” by seeing if she’d clean this gross kitchen the next morning. We’re surprised that she even stayed over in the first place.
36) Have you no tact?
This idiotic internet user decided to share with the world that they wished they had been at a terrorist attack. Why? So a pop star could have maybe looked their way. Un-freaking-believable.
37) Geez, Lynsie
Not only is this meme ridiculous but Lynsie’s comment is even crazier! She goes out of her way to buy the ‘wrong salami’ from the store simply because she knows her husband won’t yell at her? Because if he does, she’ll call 9-1-1? Why is that fun for her? Why doesn’t she just buy the correct salami?
38) They stole the rainbow?!
Now, this is news to us. Did you know that rainbows can be stolen? Apparently, God put a trademark on them a long, long time ago and they cannot be used in any way, shape, or form, unless God did it himself.
39) But that was school property…
This over-the-top dad decided to shoot her school-issued computer with a gun after finding messages from boys. Whatever happened to some good old father-daughter conversations? Not to mention, he freely admits to destroying school property.
40) Drugs don’t know race
This person shared that they believed it’s only black people that sing about drugs in their songs and asked to be disproven. Well, that didn’t seem to take long at all and that’s just scratching the surface!
We’re not sure why this person has such nasty, harsh feelings toward Japanese people but it really doesn’t seem very Christian of them. It’s amazing what some people choose to focus their energy on.
42) Wait…what about the neighbors?
Teaching children about gun safety is one thing, but shooting a semi-automatic weapon a wooden fence with your neighbor behind it? Yeah, that’s an entirely different thing. Maybe shooting guns should be left for shooting ranges or rural areas with no neighbors just a few feet away.
