Mom Finds Son Hiding In Fridge Sneaking Food Then Realizes He's Not Alone

July 17th, 2019

Get ready to experience all the feels, you guys! Any mom knows that when you have a toddler in the house, nothing is ever truly safe, especially the food in the fridge. Sometimes, it can be downright maddening just how much food a family can go through when they have kids in the house, and keeping them out of the refrigerator might as well be the foundation for the next Mission Impossible flick.

As frustrating as it can be though, sometimes as a mom you just have to take a step back and learn to appreciate those crazy moments where you wonder just how on earth your wild child ever came out of your womb.

So, when this mom found her son rummaging through the fridge, that is just what she did. What she didn’t expect to find, though, was that her little food-thief wasn’t foraging the fridge alone.

Any mom worth her salt knows that if there is even a shred of peace and quiet in the house when toddlers are present, she should probably start to worry.

Kids are generally rowdy, loud, and even a bit obnoxious at times, and if you aren’t hearing a peep out of them then it’s usually because they don’t want you to have a clue of what it is that they’re up to…which is precisely why you want to!

That is why when this mom heard hushed noises coming from her kitchen but not a sound from her kiddo, she decided she had better go and have a look at what was going down in the other room.

As she rounded the corner into the kitchen, sure enough, the door to her fridge was ever so slightly propped open.

The suspicious mom was right to investigate, as when she peered in a bit closer she could see the soft, chubby, small hand of her son sneaking its way into the styrofoam container of leftover fried chicken.

While she could have chosen to get irritated at her sneaky little squirt for rummaging through the leftovers without asking, clearly trying to hide his inner chicken monster from his mommy, instead she decided to cherish the moment for what it was.

Kids will always do silly things that sometimes drive us nuts but those moments are precious and ever so fleeting.

Kids are all too quick to grow up into full-blown adults that don’t have time to hang out and terrorize mom. Knowing that her son won’t be his silly little self forever, the mom pulled out her phone and caught the whole criminal act of chicken thievery on camera.

Clearly, her son found the chicken a little too delicious to keep up the stealth act for much longer, though.

After a few seconds into her filming, the mom sees the profile of her son’s eager little face pop into view to take a huge bite of chicken without pulling it out of the container.

We’re sure she found it pretty hard not to crack up at this point, but then something else caught her attention in the fridge that she hadn’t been expecting…

As it turns out, her baby boy had had a partner in crime the entire time without her realizing it!

As her son reached for another piece of chicken, she suddenly noticed a brown, cold, wet nose protruding from the lower shelf.

It should have come as no surprise that her kiddo entreated the family dog to sneakily munch down the leftovers with him, as the two do everything together.

This mom will be incredibly happy she got this precious moment on video when her son grows up into a full-fledged adult because it’s memories like these that you want to hold onto for a lifetime!
